Élowyn, part 1 of my fold practice series. :)
The basic storyline: A young woman from earth named Jen finds herself through extenuating cirumstances, on another planet, in the middle of war. She meets a young man named Yilani and finds herself swept up in adventure and unltimately war.
How Élowyn fits it: she's Yilani's sister, a member of the mysterious race of Elenis. It's never stated outright, but one can safely assume that the Elenis are capable of magic. However, they keep entirely to themselves during the period of war.
