I was inspired to draw this picture after reading "Chainfire" of "The Sword of Truth" fantasy novels.  "Chainfire" really touched my heart and gave me the feeling that I know Cara.  Terry Goodkind is extremely talented and his characters are very alive in every book he's written so far but with Cara in "Chainfire", he's really outdone himself.
In my years of drawing, I've never been inspired to do fan art.  I always do my own characters but Terry has opened doors in my artwork.

Keep in mind this is old and I colored this one before I owned a graphics tablet.  It was done in Photoshop with the touch pad of a laptop and my finger!  Difficult and not as good as a tablet.  And did I mention this is old?

Very Very nice job! Cara is one of my favorite characters (still think Chase is the best - would actually like to see something with him).

You mentioned you had a sketch of this, would really like to see it.

Great job, keep up the good work!

Wow... Just wow. This is an amazing drawing of Cara. You really captured the beauty of her character and the femininity that she had later on in the series. Her face is perfect too.

:-) Jason Jsun Dement replies: "Thanks Sasarai! I appreciate the compliments, sorry it took me so long to reply."

terry goodkind is one of my favorite authors and I love his books about richard and I think that you captured Cara in a way that amazes me (I still think that Zedd is the best characters in the book)

:-) Jason Jsun Dement replies: "LOL thanks! Zedd is a great character too!"

:-) Jason Jsun Dement replies: "Chainfire was great! Really loved all the Cara in that book. Thanks for the compliment!"

OMG this has got to be the best picture of Cara i've ever seen!
She definitly looks like I imagined her to look, wel done, really well done.

1 Jason Jsun Dement replies: "Thank ya very much Einherjar! It's good to hear that. I just don't think there are enough Cara drawings out there."

1 Jason Jsun Dement replies: "Thanks again Pixie 1 yeah I myself wouldn't mind seeing her out of the armour too. I really appreciate your comments!"

this is a really awesome picture of Cara... the only thing i noticed tho is that u didnt add the symbol on her stomache... mind if i ask y that was left out???

:-) Jason Jsun Dement replies: "Thanks for the compliment Roxy, yeah I left out the symbol back when I drew it because I wasn’t sure how Terry felt about fan art. There are some artists out there who don’t take well to it for some reason. Now that it’s years later and I know he actually admires fanart... I don’t wanna go back to make chages. I will probably do a better drawing in the future 1"

WOW! Great colouring aswell! This is nice stuff I will value in my SOT picture collection. Isn’t Mord-Sith’s so dangerously sexy? 1

:-) Jason Jsun Dement replies: "They sure are 1 Unfortunately, back when I colored this I didn’t have a graphics tablet and Cara suffered from it. I colored this image with the touch pad on a laptop with my finger 8"

Hmmm...something seems to be off about the arms. I think it may be perhaps that they aren’t shaded enough to show their actual position, making them look too short for her body. Still, some excellent color work here.

:-) Jason Jsun Dement replies: "Totally agree with the constructive critisism brotha. I wished I’d caught it back then when I first drew this one. This and the pencil version has seen alot of traffic because of the books it’s from and it saddens me to know that everyone who sees it will have the same thought but I can’t bring myself to go back and change something I drew in the past. I’ll just have to do a new one 1"
