| 22 Jul 2006 | Estmech | Loading...Her eyes just capture you...honestly, it's like she's real, calling you and captivating you...so strong, yet, soft and delicate at the same time...all of your paintings amaze me with the detail, effort, and sheer beauty, but this one...idk, she just won't let me turn away. Lovely work, your talent is truly a gift from God! Julia Francis-Dolling replies: "Hello Esther, everything you have said is exactly the way I wanted people to see her, thank you so much, and for all your kind comments. " | |
| 11 Oct 2006 | Suzanne Collins | Loading...You are soooo talented! I love her hair, and the glow around her head, it sets off the darkness of her hair very nicely. Her eyes are beautiful, and such a bright, captivating colour. Again, her skin looks lovely, so fair and soft, you have a real knack for realistic life drawings! Julia Francis-Dolling replies: "This one started of as another 'Purple' I spent hours on the eyes getting them just right, they are actually my own eyes, but a different colour, the hair, well I thought it was about time I tried curly, the whole Idea is to make the eyes say it all, I'm glad you like her, she is watching me answer your lovely comments." | |
| 24 Oct 2006 | Michelle B. Lackey | Loading...*mumbles incoherently for a moment* I was looking at your other path, Ephedra, wasn't it? I found it very interesting how she was very intimidating with the 'I'll-knock-you-flat-if-I-have-to' look, but Jehnsen has that expression of 'I-know-something-you-don't-know' Very interesting twist and the difference in expression over the same gift is very unique. Wonderful hair, contrast, and picture! *wishes for more* Julia Francis-Dolling replies: "Hi again Michelle, This one actually started off as Ephedra two, but I then painted over the purple hair and she ended up with curls, the eyes in both pictures are mine, though not the colour (I wish), I have been told many times I can clear a room with a look, and I like eyes to tell you more than the look on the face, Just because you smile, doesn't mean you are happy, so I am so glad you see the difference. thanks again" | |
| 13 Nov 2006 | Gytha Muller | Loading...Well... I think you quite managed your goals. I especially like the eyes, they /really/ stand out! Julia Francis-Dolling replies: "Hi Gytha, thank you very much, I'm sure over the years I will do many like this, I really like painting eyes, but I have some work to do yet before I get them just right, thanks for stopping by." | |
| 8 Mar 2007 | Kathrine | Loading...Hi, I really like your pictures, but in this one her eyes are a bit too far up. They should be further down *wink* Sorry... Julia Francis-Dolling replies: "Hi Katherine, It's not that her eyes are too far up, her head is tilted down, but I didn't quite get it right, it's one of those times when I know something is wrong, I just can't tell what it is. Thanks for the input,i'll have another look at it." | |
