Hi Judy,
My name is Richard, my father(Berger Baardsen) and grandfather(Bernhard Baardsen) are both fron Alesund, Norway. My uncle John Baardsen was also from Alesund. I believe that my great uncle runs the radio station in Alesund. His name is Ben. I don't know how common the Baardsen name is, but here in the USA, it is not that common. We may be related in some distant way.
It would be nice to hear from you if you get the chance.
