After the fellowship went south, Arwen was left alone with no way of knowing how her beloved fared. She must have been very lonely.

What!!!!!! No Comments? Crazy people! *goes off uttering blind peopel* wait no I ahve to comment on this lovely pic! *comes back* I find this really, really, really, really, pretty. (I would add more realies but I am too lazy.) IS she inspired by greek people? because it shows, I like it. Not how i pictured ehr but very unique and beautiful all the same. *does first comment spell* thats to bring mroe peopel to comment, it better work.

:-) Julianne Dodds replies: "It was a real challenge to keep this Arwen and my other Arwen the same people. I didn't have a profile of my model for the other Arwen, but I didn't intentionally make this Arwen Greek. Thanks for your comments."

Excellent colors....sets the mood for her loneliness.
She does have a bit of the look of a Greek goddess...trapped upon her pedestal

:-) Julianne Dodds replies: "Oh, James, you are a genius. That's exactly what she is! A goddess trapped upon her pedestal. I never could put it in so many words, but you, sir, are absolutely brilliant."

I love the watercolor feel, and the softness

:-) Julianne Dodds replies: "Well thank you. Watercolor is my favorite medium."

thats gorgeous. she really does look all alone. Excellent composition too it really shows the emptiness in her heart. great work!

:-) Julianne Dodds replies: "Why thank you! That's just what I was shooting for when I painted this."

I love the Arwen figure, but even more than her I love the pillars. They are sosmooth looking and REAL! Ack, my own painting skills (or lack thereof) pales in comparison. Great work!

:-) Julianne Dodds replies: "My acrylic skills are sorely lacking. I'm ashamed."

This is lovely - the soft, muted colours work well together and Arwen is framed very nicely by the pillars. It's like she's trapped in her own little world, but at the same time all the land around her is wide and empty too. Very nice!

This is so beautiful, and a great represtentaion of Arwen, and i’m sitting here cringing as i think of my own painting skills (The invisible skill)!
