Julianne Dodds replies: "Yeah I GUESS he could be Jesus. I like that idea. I have captured holiness... It's Jesus in disguise! Watch out world, Jesus speaks through me! Guess I better stop this soon... I probably sound insane."

Julianne Dodds replies: "That's cool too 'cause he's NOT the REAL jesus... however, those ARE REAL colors in the background. In fact, he's not jesus at all. Thanks for helping me clear this whole thing up Hannah."

THIS is an incredible demonstration of shading and understanding the light. His knee coming out is photorealistic. The background, while beautiful, is (in my lame opinion) almost exteraneous-- he would have almost been more effective with a receding horizon or just the sky-- the figure and robes are so stunning that I feel you should emphasize them more. Or rather, not emphasize them, but keep from distracting our attention away from them.
I simply cannot say enough about the fabric and shading here. Wow.
I’ve bookmarked this page as a reference for me when doing shading with watercolor. You have such an understanding of WHITE and FABRIC and WATERCOLOR. I hope you don’t mind if I reference this with some of my own fabric drawings. You’ve inspired me to do some studies (not finished stuff to put on Elfwood, just stuff to work on and improve myself!) Thank you, Julianne!
