| 2 Dec 2003 | Maryam Gousheh-Forgeot | Loading...I like that you've done researches for creating this art, and I'm grateful for not seeing the "middle-eastern high-fantasy" stereotypes, which I find a mix of Indian, Persian, Turkic and Arabic all with flashy exaggerated features (even many educated artists/authors confuse them or define all of them as Arabic, which never fails to surprise me  ). The landscape reminds me of summer in not-very-humid mountainsides of certain regions I've visited in Iran. The dress of Ardashir (we'd pronounce it Ardeshir) is identical to the traditional outfits... the Lady Jackal's trousers and top is less characteristic, but it's still nice and fitting for the dancing furry. I also love the rugs and cushions and the border. It's totally a wonderful job, congratulations  | |
