These are truley great pictureas they have all the magic of fantasy artwork i also like the expressions on there faces making it very realistic and the i realy like the movement.

First off I have been checking out your gallery and I think you've done some nice work. I can see progression in your artwork and its clear to me that you are improving. You are doing a pretty good job of using the right combination of colors to present a particular mood. Also the detail that you have put into some of your backgrounds is well done. By no means am I perfect so please take this for what its worth. I think your images could improve if you were able to create more detail with the shading. It feels like your close in many cases but if you could take it a little bit further the 3-D aspect of your images would really pop out. This can be done by adding a little bit more highs/lows to your images. Also I am making an assumption that you are working with Photoshop or something similar? If so I am currently working on a new painting with a different approach than I have used in the past. This approach might interest you. It involves paining the image in greyscale first so that one can focus on light and shadow in the image without being confused by the color variations. Then after the image is completed in greyscale you add color on top. If your interested I can share some of my thoughts on the process or other thoughts about creating a digital painting in general and there is a tutorial posted that will give you an idea of what I am talking about. http://www.henningludvigsen.com/wordpress/?page_id=23 One other techinque I've seen that works well with digital paintings is to work in a very high resolution say 300dpi 3300x5100, which should be equal to an 11x17 sheet of paper at 300dpi if Im not mistaken. Anyhow you work in a very large format so you can get all the little nuances down (on this last image Ive been working at 200-400% of the true image size and the greater size of the canvas allows me to make 1-2pixel changes that can create some nice detail). Anyhow when your done your image has a lot of nice detail and I've seen where some professional artists have used this technique and after they have completed they shrink the final image down some what (maybe 20-30% reduction). I've seen images that I could have sworn where photos but when your allowed access to the original larger image you can see a little easier that it is indeed a painting, but thats very hard to tell with the reduced image. You obviously love drawing and it shows in your art: i love the folds of the cloth, you draw very realistic hair and wings, along with your incredible talent for relaying emotion (Memory is by far my favorite painting in your gallery). As for constructive critiscism: your shading does need a little bit of work, which would add more depth and reality to your people, though that was already covered by Dave and some of your heads end up flat on top, giving the idea that the head has been squashed... if you add more hair on top, that illusion will soon begone!
