| 4 Mar 2009 | Mettare | Loading...Would you like a few artistic tips to make this well-balanced piece even better? 1. I have nothing against her nose, it’s a very nicely executed nose, and quite a refreshing difference--just make sure it’s grounded around the base near the nostrils and upper lip. Also check the upper lipline. It’s really, really sharp, and while it might be the look you’re going for, softening the focus a little will help it fit. 2. look to the shading on her jawline! this will make the biggest difference. Other than that, I’m really enjoying how you’ve avoided the "plastic" look and given her a more realistic face. Congrats! Cristina Diaz-Borda replies: "To be honest with you, this painting is from 2006, and a lot has changed with my art. I appreciate the advice but its unlikely I’ll go back to this piece" | |
