I really love your watercoloring. Your friends art is also very good. Johanna Tamminen replies: "The Ghont is half blind... I dunno why, because it fits to the picture´s mood, perhaps."
| 1 Jan 2003 | Dani 'Moonrunner' Hall | Loading...Hmmm...the elf seems to be moodier than your others. First of all, the hair slipped by me as well the first couple times as I looked at this picture. However, I do see the black fading into red- brilliantly done. The blade is awesome, but I don't think it fits with the picture much. It seems to be yellow only to add a lighter part to the picture, and not to bog anything done. Also, is that a chain from the elf's nose to his ear? Purpose? Anyway, I'm sorry. Pax. ~Dani Johanna Tamminen replies: "I almost lost my sanity while painting his hair and guess what? I painted hair just like that to another bishie-character just few days ago! It turned out nice and I’ll be uploading the picture as soon as my friend Tuuli sends me the scan… And not everything has to have a purpose. Question: Why do all those elves have some things to cover their… hmm… let’s say private parts. Answer: because they look nice. The chain-thingy also looked nice, and this aggressive guy is probably my favorite of all the elves I have painted. I painted this for the longest time and I like the fact that he looks a bit pissed off. He’s a tough guy. And the blade is yellow (golden actually) because I decided so." | |
| 13 Mar 2003 | Mikko K. J. Eerola | Loading...The ghont looks like he's (is it a he?) saying: "huh what where? I can't see!" Thank god for that long hair or ulla or ulla the god or whoever. I must say that I love those details! Uuuh the glove-thing and those seams in his boot-things ( I don't know what they are okay!) You could have used white on that blade. An advice from someone who is addicted to liquid paper. These boys really have to start being more careful because they are swinging dangerous weapons near their pets. (I wonder why it has that glass eye o.O) Johanna Tamminen replies: "Heee! I wanna play with his hair. *G* And it is good that his hair is so long, otherwise there might be just a bit too much nudity for mods. to handle. *G* The boot-things are just... well, boots that don’t cover his toes nor his heels. *Sweatdrop* I didn’t want to use white/silver for the blade, okay? I toughed about it and noticed that I always use silvery color with red-black combination, so I wanted to try something else. I think that that Ghont is just silly and he doesn’t know how to fight properly, so he has lost his other eye as the result. It isn’t a glass eye. *Flies away wearing her new, fancy pinstripe suit* Muhahahahhaaaa~~! *Suddenly a giraffe eats Juuhanna * Owie! >___X" | |
| 12 Apr 2003 | Andrew L. Prieto | Loading...How come the tiger or panther she is riding on has no eye, it looks blind, was it that pointy weapon she has, did she poke him in the eye. Probably an accident. Anywho ALL your artwork is really GOOD. Johanna Tamminen replies: "HE is a MAN! A MAN!!!!!!! And the animal is NOT a panther or a tiger, it is a Ghont! Please read the descriptions, they are there so that you wouldn't have to ask those questions and so that you would know what gender he is!" | |
| 24 Apr 2003 | Vaya | Loading...Whoa! No that is one sweet man you've got there! I love the tattoos, though I don't think a warrior would be wearing a chain like that. *grabs it and draws him closer to her* That's why. I love the background you've got going there. And one suggestion to make the blade look more like metal put a little bit of a white highlight down the length of it to make it look shinier Johanna Tamminen replies: "Humm... but maybe he takes that chain of when he's in a battle? He doesn't have to wear it all the time. Now that he's not fighting, he just wants to look cool. ^.^()
I guess I could have made it shinier, but when a painting is finished, it's finished... So I won't be making any changes. But thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind."
| 10 Sep 2003 | AlpineBob | Loading...I love the blade of the scythe! Looks like a huge chunk of obsidian painted with cool stripes. The Tiger-eye where it joins the haft is a neat touch. Johanna Tamminen replies: "I love the scythe too! Ulla is so darn good at inventing cool weapons... *worships Ulla*" | |
| 13 Sep 2003 | Jack Lamothe | Loading...Now this is a little closer to my style. Hehehe. Johanna Tamminen replies: "Ah, thank you! This one has had so few comments that I have started to think that no one likes cool boys with bad attitude anymore. " | |
| 15 Nov 2003 | Stephanie | Loading...wow.....*drool* That is a hunk of a man. I know this is bad but I wish I could..umm...brush his hair? *mwahaha* | |
| 27 Nov 2003 | Anony Mouse | Loading...Great job with the hair, and the Ghont is good too; it looks like it's made of stone or summin like dat. The red tattoo-thingies are cool lookin', and... lesse.... the scars are good. Not too dark, but they're still noticeable. ^_^x | |
| 20 Nov 2004 | Lady KatrionaD'Eath of the Undead, Vampyr. | Loading...He needs to be added to the undead legions too. Stop it with the eddible guys! I agree with whoever said he looked moodier than the others. Nice wepon. I'd like a scythe like that! | |
