I had this dream a while ago... It involved a place called Haven, surrounded by an empathic force shield. Kids who are hunted for possessing a misunderstood form of magic can get through because they meet the emotional requirements, average people who don't meet the requirements effectively hit an invisible and impassible wall, and evil men who hunt said children die on contact with the shield. And this is a bardic song I wrote describing it. |

And silence of mouth
To remain safe within
And keep dark men out
Unrivaled in power
Of magical means
Unbroken by strength
Of the greatest of fiends
No man shall go
Where he does not belong
No army may pass
If one thousand strong
The child knows
What adults can't imagine
The knowledge you have
Is only distraction
Wanting with plea
Does not let you gain
Finding the key
Is only through pain
The most beautiful key
Is a frightful thing
The only way in
Is a phoenix wing
