"So", said the old toadstool to the young elf-girl Niessa, "You don't believe in taupoiseaux? They do exist you know, I've seen them numerous times." Niessa just giggled quietly.
Suddenly the strange looking flowerbud opened up to reveal an even odder looking flower and out came a plump bundle of feathers with a bright orange beak. It flew right into Niessa's face, making her lean back a bit startled. Just then she saw the strange creature had one eye.
"Let me get a good look of you," it spoke in a singing voice, "well, so that's what an elf looks like, you know, I didn't think elfs existed and there you have it."
