This is Arkaron the executioner. He is a god of mercy from Jason Ellis's story. This is plain watercolor on a A3 sheet... a bad sheet for watercolors. Got all crumpy. Made this quite fast. I had the pic faintly drawn on the paper for a long time... Then couple of days ago got the urge to paint (heard a NOW MUST PAINT NOW MUST PAINT whisper in my head) so I did this. Along the way it transformed to Arkaron. I did it fast and it has some spots I don't really like. Tho making it was fun, and thats what counts 8)

Is it just me or is the paper kinda wavy due to water moisturising? Maybe it's just me, but hey, I like the colors. Nice use of orange again. And the wings, you really know how to draw those. The clothing looks finally tolerable except for the shoulderpad-thingamajigs. The right one seems too big compared to the left one or maybe it's just my wall-eye-vision. The waistband's a nice touch as well as the long fingernails or are 'claws' the proper word? Is he standing in some kind of a mist or an orangejuice ocean, I can't quite figure it out. Oh, and that red feathery thing in the helmet gives it a nice color as well. It's been a long wait for new material, but not for nought(??). Summa summarum, ME LIKEY!

(and I even left my e-mail address)

17 Janne Vuollet replies: "Oh fuck, Why oh why did you leave your e-mail???now they are going to get on your trail!!! And you know who "They" are and what "They" will do to you... *shivers* Mmm, well, anyways. Didn't really think you would like this picture tho. Your vision is quite very accurate. There are some strange distortions on his shoulderarmor thingamajigs. I just was too eager to paint so I didn't care about it.If you get this reply on e-mail, you know "They" are after you!!!"

Hey Janne. I like this picture, especially the pose. The funny thing about it is that his helmet is like the style I used to draw helmets... with the crescent thing on the brow.

The Lord of the Hours tour has been down for some time now. A couple of artists removed their pictures from Elfwood, so the tour doesn't work anymore. I am thinking about fixing it - and so I'll be able add Arkaron this time.
