| 24 Jul 2002 | Marlena Cannon | Loading...Hmm... I don't think you should give up on watercolors just yet! This is a beautiful piece. It seems that the vividness of watercolor paint suits your style. My favorite part is the wonderful golden trees! Janne Vuollet replies: "Mmm, I'm not giving up on watercolors at all. There is a new watercolor piece coming already But I will surely try out other mediums as well. Thanks for the comment" | |
| 7 Aug 2002 | Anke Wehner | Loading...hum... I think the space under the trees should be darker. shadows, I mean. Maybe it would be easier to see the people then. But nitpicking aside, this is GREAT! Awesome colours! Janne Vuollet replies: "Yeah, I wasn't very sure how I wanted the forest to look like. I wanted it to be light like that but I very well knew about the characters being light also and all... well... no can do anymore Thanks." | |
| 1 Sep 2002 | Aila Kantoluoto | Loading...Aaaaah! Heart attack! Heart attack! Such bright colors in this deep dark hole of mine I call home. It's brilliant. No wonder you sold it. There's that something in the orange and yellow of the trees and in the reflections in the water... Janne Vuollet replies: "Hmm... päivänsäde ja menninkäinen Nice that you like it I was a fool when making that water... At one point it looked way more better and reflective and all but then I thought "hmmm... a little bit more blue there!" and urrrggggh! I screwed it! But I'm glad that "that something" is there " | |

| 18 Dec 2003 | Anne-Marie C. Eriksson | Loading...Jam seems to dislike you a bit, and yet, he likes you enough to look at most of your pictures. Either he's in denial, jealous, or someone you know in real life? Anyway. this wasn't meant to be a comment on him. I've also done one A3 watercolor in my life thus far and it's incredibly difficult to concentrate on the wholeness of the image when it is so incredibly huge and you work on such small pieces of it at a time. Therefore, I really have to respect this one. I can't REALLY comment without seeing it lifesize, though. Janne Vuollet replies: "No, I don't know who Jam is. But he/she has cheered up this gallery abit done all the negative commenting for everyone. Usually I do A3 pieces now if I do something at home. At school I've done much much much much more bigger watercolor pieces. Something like 6 times bigger. But they are done in a bit different way. I enjoy doing big pictures." | |
