Why isn´t there any comments yet? Well, I got to be the first!
Coool! The shadings, landscape, wings, claws, face, everything! You are an amazing artist.
You know what? The reason why I came to see your gallery was that when I had seen few of your comments around the Elfwood, I knew that someone really talented had had written them. I were right ^_^. Keep it up!

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "Well thanks 9 Usually when I write comments I try to say something more than just "hey thats a great pic"... or then just say it some other way 9"

I'm afraid it will crush out of my computer screen... It's really going fast.
Really good picture. Thö turkki näyttää ihmeen oikeelta.

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "Well, if it comes thru your computer screen, give it a cookie... or... something. yeah, I think that would tame it. A cookie. "

Hmm .. this reminds me of that movie called the Never-ending Story, where a kid flew with that dog-dragon. It's been a while since I saw it so I'm not sure if they really look alike. A good movie and good picture indeed.

As it very much seems to be in fashion, I'm also going to try to express myself in English, too. Not much of a comment, though; seen this pic before..In the army to be precise. I liked it then and I like it now. As I'm now working in a school (one that I used to go to) I'm going to scan you the beautiful pic you painted me. Trust me, one of these days you'll find that exact pic in your mailbox. Hope you will add it in here. Well, I guess that's all for now, take care of yourself and live up to your dreams.

PS. I'm still planning on visiting you some day, whether you like it or not 2

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "Hi ya Mike o dude. Nice to hear from ya. It would be great if you could scan that pic! It would definitely get here. Though it ain't actually my decision if it will get here... dunno if it is fantasy enough in the eyes of an elfwood moderator. It should be. But I'll put it up at my artattack gallery. Hmm... I'm staying at liminka not next, but the weekend after the next weekend. That would be quite good time to visit. Quite dead here on week ends tho...But you work hard and don't let those young rascals fool you around!"

I love the texture on the face and his fur. The landscape is just perfect and so is the foreshortening and proportion of this piece. My only complain would probably be thatmore times should have been spent on the wings but other than that, it's breath-takingly realistic! Kudos to you!
18 Dec 2003:-) Anne-Marie C. Eriksson
More time on the wings? NO! They're beautifully rough and fluffy as they are, says I. A hell of a lot better than my own "Near - Far" exercise. Good sense of movement and the landscape really does open up beyond the frame of the image.
