A battle scene. At least almost a battle scene. Had to rush this one to the end. And rushing ain't never good... Well, I like the water.

I like that water too. 2 I don't know why, but I like that girl the most. Maybe it's her clothes and that dreamy/sad expression. I really like the way you painted her. 2

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "the pic was inspired by the movie Hero. Especially the lake scene. I tried to make them look like they are concentrating on their next move... and also waiting what the enemy might do. 9 well, a dark haired lady wearing turquoise, dang, I like her too 9"

JESUS, in a battle scene you have the characters eyes shaded, and they look mean, maybe with blood, not this happy chappy playfight you moron

Why so pale looking? Something's not right with this one. The water is fine, but the colours don't look too nice. I've seen your previous work and it's.. er, average. Maybe you shouldn't have rushed with this like you said. Or maybe it's the scanner. The swords are kinda hard to see.

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "Thanks for the criticsizing(spelling?) comment. The pic looks a little different in reality. But it still is quite bad. I have this policy that I don't retouch my pics after I decide they are finished. And this one is finished. I'll try to learn from my mistakes."

Ooh....it's wonderful! Your style is very unique. I especially like the water in this one, it looks very realistic. I don't understand how people can paint that....but aparently you can! I applaud you! *claps*.

I like this picture a lot; especially the water and background. I think, as far as constructive criticism goes, you could maybe try for more active poses. I saw the comment that said you wanted them to look as if they were thinking about their next moves; I think a more realistic pose would show them sort of tense; thinking carefully but also ready for action should the need arise. But other than that, I think it's great! Their outfits are neat and bright. I do agree with the comment about the scanner; see if your scanning program has options on the light levels or brightness/contrast controls before you scan it in.

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "Yeah, I like the water too. I was a bit suprised that I did it that well 9 Other wise I don't really like this pic much anymore. And now that I look at the poses they kinda look like they are practising their balance or something... standing on the stones and all. But it wasn't meant to be aggressive anyways.Yeah, my scanner has that contrast option but I haven't successed in making that sun visible. Well, I'm off to paint now 9 Thanks for your comment!"

Hey it's me again.. the one that have given you comments on your art "forest vision" and "ice wizard".. Hey this one is cute too!! 'coz i really reallyluv water! Water! Water! Water! Water is my favorite element among the four elements. Why don't you try to draw a water elemental next tym? I think that would be nice or some cool tsunami effect? hehe.. what do u think?

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "Perhaps... But I'm right now I'm more into making skies and clouds. But yeah, Water is always fun to make too. So maybe someday."
