There is a valley, where lives a tribe that worships the sun. They built two towers to the valley. In the other tower, there is a statue that holds a big stone ring. In the other there is a statue that holds a crystal. The towers were built in line with the sun, so that once every year the light passes thru the ring and hits the crystal at the other side of the valley. They also thought about a mechanism with what they can move and turn the towers so the light could hit the crystal every morning. Though that mechanism turned out to be too much for them to accomplish, so it was abandoned. When the light hits the crystal, it's supposed to capture a bit of the suns power. It will produce a light so bright that no one can look at it. This is the first time when the crystal is in it's place. And the time when light hits it is soon at hand. What will happen? Yeah, a lil bit of story telling there. Now you know what is going on. Well, once again, the blue colors didn't get scanned properply. In reality they are much more darker. And overall the the colors have lost a bit of their power. Well, no can do, enjoy. Oh yes, the pic is A2, done wiht watercolor pencils, watercolors and oil pastels.

...O_o

You know what...I think I'm happy they (the colors) lost their power, because if not, I would have been blinded! I mean...this is the most astounding colors I ever seen! It's so bright, yet smooth and dreamy!...wow, this is true art, picture, music and poetry...that's all I feel when staring at this!

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "wow, thanks 9 Great to hear that. I tried to make a quite striking sky to this one. I knew that turquoise and red would make a great team. But I knew that it was very unreal too. But hey, I like unreal stuff 9 When I was making this, the turquoise/red part made me feel funny... felt like I got absorbed to the pic... well, not absorbed but... bah, dont know how to tell it 9 I really liked doing it. So thats propably why I think the colors lost some of their power... cause it isn't like that when you look the pic from the screen. But it's different for me than for the viewer. That propably sounded pretty funny eh? 9"

to me it looks like some elf kingdom or maybe I've been watching lord of the rings a little too much LOL 1

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "Well I'd say you have watched too much lord of the rings"

My gods, I love this! You used such beautiful colors. I really like the way the red clouds contrast all the soft blues and greens. The tower's really nice, and the woman, and the mountains... The way you did the clouds and the sunset is great -- somehow the sky looks almost spherical.

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "You mean spherical, like a ball? If so, this is a very succesfull test 9 Thanks for the comment"

Oh, it is SO nice to see someone who loves their bright colours as much as I do! I really like your style. This is particularly gobsmackingly good, and I am astounding at the lack of mod's choice. Unjust, say I!

:-) Janne Vuollet replies: "yeah. I really like working with colors. Always interesting to see different color combinations. Thanks for the comment"
