Phew. It is finished. It may not be impressive at first glance, but if you saw how it looked originally, and all the hell I went through to get it looking even THIS good, you’d be applauding me.
Firstly, the original sketch was a disaster. It was vague, with no solid details to give it body or life. I had to do most of the details and lines entirely on the tablet—with which, if you’ve never seen me fiddle around on my tablet, I am useless, unless the sketch’s lines are crisp and exact. And, as luck would have it, they weren’t. Secondly, the sketch was done on legal paper, and in order to get the whole thing in, I had to scan it three times, and piece it together manually on Photoshop. Thirdly, the file was so obscenely HUGE that my computer decided that it would be cool to operate, y’know, as slow as tar in January. So with every block of color, every save, and every line, the little progress bar came up and basically told me to go take a nap, maybe call my friends up, go out for a while, and maybe it’d be done when I came home. It was ridiculous, and I honestly have no idea how I managed the patience to get through such a huge project.
ANYWAY.
It took 4 ½ hours from first sketch to final save, which is decent, especially for such a large work. It turned out much, much better than I originally thought. The fates were kind, so I’m not going to hash up my karma by complaining about the final product. For the amount of work I put into it, and how hopeless it was in the beginning, it turned out splendidly. *pats Ed’s head* Good boy.
Now…I’m going to…pass out cold on the floor and catch some much deserved rest. Someone wake me up if I get comments, neh?
