This is the private cabin of the captain of a nefarious plundering crew of pirates that have plagued the seven seas.

This is my  first etching on a zinc plate, printed in sepia and very badly aquatinted. This print isn't the best one, as you can see, but I like it because it looks like it's been wandering over the ocean for a while so it's a bit shonky but if you try really hard, you can make out two fine upstanding pirates in a slightly skewed portrait.

Looks like the bio was enough 12

I have a hand-printed original of this on my wall.. woot woot!

You did a wonderful job on this one... It's blasphemy that you (and I) did not get super-distinctions... *sniff* some people just don't know art when they see it... they've been blinded by the frequent observance of boxes and squares

1 Sasanki Tennakoon replies: "Me thinks that if we threatened, nicely, and disguised in our pirate gear, they might give us super distinctions...or boot our tails out of art school unceremoniously. I have your one on my shelf (my wall would sacrifice it to the carpet otherwise)"

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for... ahm... well... ´scuse me. It´s just that i got carried away with the atmosphere in that picture. You really have an eye for atmosphere and detail - and the hand to bring it into a picture. Look at the wooden structure of the roof... the pirate picture on the wall... the Map in the foreground.. i like this one, really!

:-) Sasanki Tennakoon replies: "Hee hee, keep it in mind, I'll be living in quarters much like this one in the distant future. Thank you for stopping by! 2"

I find this picture to be absolutely remarkable...so much can be seen in it...such stories...and the details are amazing. Well done!

:-) Sasanki Tennakoon replies: "Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! 2"
