But the blue horn and hooves are very original and add good contrast to the whole effect. But there's hair coming out of random places! Aideen Solasta replies: "Oh right, I suck at highlights =). Practicing! But those are feathers, silly. I was in a hair mood =P."
| 26 May 2004 | Sophie Chung | Loading...As a matter of fact I HAVE to disagree--they are very good highlights, especially for the--first?--time. And how are there feathers? I see feathers nowhere!!! Aideen Solasta replies: "Err, the like, hair part of the hooves/legs on a horse is called the feathers." | |

For a first try, I am very impressed with how it turned out. A very beautiful unicorn; he should meet my Taj Pooka sometime! Aideen Solasta replies: "Yes! That happens all the time - the things I don't like, everyone else happens to like. =P. Hmm, maybe he should! Hehe. Thank you for the compliments =)."

This picture has a nice elegant flow to it. well done! Aideen Solasta replies: "Hmm, you're right. I didn't notice that at the time. Thanks for pointing it out! I'm glad you like the hair and coloring - that took a while =). Thanks for commenting!"
| 14 Sep 2004 | Amanda L. Collins | Loading...The coloring is awesome! You need to work more on your proportions, the front legs are usually shorter than the hind legs on most horses. You might even take a ruler and measure some pictures, not other drawings, but real pictures of horses to see how they work. Other than that, great job, and love the highlighting in the hair! Fellow bifrost member, Amanda Aideen Solasta replies: "Thanks =). Yeah, on this horse the front legs are really really really really extra superlong. Measuring other pictures, that's a good idea! Thanks for the suggestions, and for commenting =D. " | |
| 3 Oct 2004 | Chessie Alberti | Loading...All that hair is beautiful! It's so silky looking and shiny. You did a great first job with the highlights, the first time I tried that it DID NOT work out well. I love the colors too, pretty much the only time I like the color red is when it's against black... and then I just can't get enough of it. Hmm... yeah, the anatomy is off a bit; his body looks kind of long, or maybe the front legs should be back a little bit. Aideen Solasta replies: "*dances around* *is proud of them highlights* Heehee, thank you! Red/black are two of my favorite colors; I love how they look together, so evil and the like. Yeah, the anatomy is sorta uhm, strange...ehehehe. The front legs are probably elongated, and it looks like we stuck him on the rack. Woops. Poor thing =(. Thanks for commenting!" | |
