It's gonna be tough battle! K. ´Karahatay´ Fink replies: "Mine's for the newbies, too. I've never won and elftwon art contest, either. Best of luck to you!!" | |
| 25 Jul 2006 | J. Oliver | Loading...Wow that's one sexy elf mama! I wonder if chain mail chafes when it gets wet.... K. ´Karahatay´ Fink replies: "You know, I image that it probably does. I didn't even think of that when I designed it. I put the gold woven cloth under her hair because I knew that otherwise it would incesantly get caught and would be very annoying, and took in rust as as a consideration, hence the rust-proof materials, but didn't even think of chaffing... maybe with mail that fine though, it feels just more like stiff cloth..." | |
| 2 Dec 2006 | Leanne Marie McGovern | Loading...Wow that is some very fine linked chain mail. I actually have seen a chain mail bikini in a medievial arms and armour store, and the links on it were actually a lot larger then the ones you have drawn. Not that its a bad thing, because i bet the detail in this was done in many painstaking hours. I actually mean that as a compliment because of that reason. personally i would have been lazy and made the links much larger. nice job K. ´Karahatay´ Fink replies: "Alas, I must admit that I cheated on the chainmail. I made myself a chainmail "template," just a copy of the chainmail pattern over and over, then I copied it on to the appropriate places on the image and shaded. I do think the links are a little too small, it's hard to tell it's chainmail without being told, but I didn't want to do the typical large link, see-through type chainmail either. So, really, I'm lazy too. I admire the artists who really do manage to draw every single link individually. That would drive me nuts, though. Thanks for commenting!!" | |

| 13 Aug 2007 | Vilhelmina Ullemar Lönnbom | Loading...I'd like to try one of those bikinis actually... It'd be so cool to have one. XD Her pose is very well pulled off - totally a bikini model thing. She seems to have a very long torso, though - but then, maybe some elves do? K. ´Karahatay´ Fink replies: "lol. Thanks. Yeah, her torso is long, she was intended to be a dwarf, but when I finished drawing her I realized that she didnt' want to be a dwarf, she wanted to be an elf, so I let her keep her long torso and long limbs..." | |
