If you wanted to give it some extra intensity, try playing around with the lighting. Darken the rest of the picture and give the eyes a gleam to really grab the viewer. Great picture. They're fine, yes, but they always lack mood or something. But this one has spark! You're totally right, they do look like they have an attitude all their own! The intensity of the eyes really draw the viewer in. I like the dark background color, it makes everything seem so much more ominus. And the hair! I think it's marvelous that you used more than red and then shaded it with a greyscale. I love how you used different colors in the shading! It really looks fantastic!
