This is a comission for a co-worker.

I'm still undecided as wether to leave the boarders as is, or put an actual border in.  What do you think?

Leave the border as it is, but maybe think about shading the stones of the wall more, they're hard to see at all. Or is that only because of the scan? Very nice pic anyway. The blue and black and the flowing end of the cloak are really great and I also like the pose and the expression on his face. And the title is hilarious 2

I agree with the previous commenter: leave the border and touch up the stones in the background. Nice picture. The skeleton looks pretty imposing. However, I couldn't help but giggle when I saw this. I've read too many Discworld novels... *sigh* I love the Discworld DEATH...

I think the border looks a little too light for the rest of the picture (of course, that could just be the scan, or my computer screen) Maybe you could make the border dark blue, or dark brown, to much some of the colours within the picture itself. It's a really wonderful and dramatic piece of art! I love the composition, the dark arch-way and the swirling robes!

HMMM... AH, LOOK WHO IS NEXT... IF THAT ISN'T MY OLD FRIEND RINCEWIND...

I read altogether too many Discworld novels, too...

I like the colours, although the border may need to be darkened a little. Right now it kind of captures or encloses the picture, as if there is a wall around it. If you make it darker you may take down that 'wall'.

I like the wave-ish things he has at the base of his robes, and the expression on his face (insofar a skull can have an expression, of course...)

Leave it as is, I say. It works wonderfully. And the scythe looks like it is ending in a separate plane, indicating it is curved towards the viewer.

I think if one of his swirly parts stuck out as well, it would add more to his presence. But that's just me.

Nicely done 1
