| 27 Jun 2003 | Norma Peters | Kern, you have a lovely gallery with such an interesting variety of characters. I like your color choices - sometimes moody and dark, or vibrant and eye-catching, but always suitable to the theme of your picture. I've never heard of Corel Photohouse 5, but it certainly looks like a good program. Well done! Karen Clark replies: "wow, thank you so much! corel photohouse isn't really a good program, my more recent drawings (the ones with more shading and such) are done with Adobe Photoshop. I'm glad you like my gallery, and again thank you so much for commenting! ^_^" | |
| 8 Oct 2003 | John | Karen, I just returned from Canada (EH) and the people there are wonderful (Espanol,Ontario). My feedback is simple. HAVE MORE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF! The only way you can ever be successful in any endeavor is to believe fully in yourelf. Yes, hard work and practice are important. But you must also look at life and your skills in a positive frame of mind. Nobody will ever believe you are good until you do. Good Luck, John Karen Clark replies: "thank you so much! I know I need to have more confidence in myself, I'm working on it. I'm glad you liked it in Canada. cheers! ^_^" | |

| 13 Jan 2004 | Chelle | Hiya, i think you have some really great ideas for paintings and drawings. I know you said you didnt have a good art teacher, neither did i, but your work shows it, it looks very childish...Im not being cheeky, but i do believe you can make them better, go to a night class in art or something, get some professional tips and you'll see the difference in your work. Good luck though whatever happens chelle xx Karen Clark replies: "dunno if that's suppose to be a compliment, or something mean, I honestly find it cruel to say my art looks very childish, it is innocent and simplistic in nature, but whatever. As for your advice with getting professional tips I honestly don't want to bother with it, this is my hobby when I get bored or in an artistic mood. Thank you though, I suppose." | |
| 16 Feb 2004 | Anonymous | You could learn from art books... You have a good base. work on it. Karen Clark replies: "I usually learn from stuff done on the internet, although I haven't bothered since I'm now at university and it is rather time consuming. ~is also too lazy~ ^_^" | |
