Hey it's me again 12
I really like the colours (who doesn't!)
and the butterfly wings! Maybe you could draw wings of another butterfly species, like the orange tip or great admiral or that big yellow butterfly -don't know it's name in english- ?

(just an idea, I thought it would be nice!) 12

:-) Karen May replies: "Hi Beluga, thanks for your comment. I do paint other types of wings but I felt that these were right for this picture, glad you like it."

Now this would count as the "softer side" beautiful picture you have a talent for drawing (painting) flowers and plants simply beautiful. Thanks for the comment at my page.Don't be a stranger and be sure to let me know when you update here!!

:-) Karen May replies: "Thank you Patrick. Let me know when you update too."

Oh wow! The flower arrangements are so pretty! A lovely array of roses, foliage and other flora.
I love the way the faerie looks like she's inside a picture frame surrounded by the flowers - I'm not sure if that's the look you were going for.
Her wings are very pretty, are they wings from a certain species of butterfly?

:-) Karen May replies: "Thanks J. This painting is really all about lost potential. The fairy is stuck within a beautiful world, almost touching it, but her world is dark and the thorns stop her from moving further. Like most of us i suppose, she feels that there is so much more, if only she could escape from the ties that bind her. (bit deep - sorry)The wings are based on those of the peacock butterfly. I'm really glad that you like it."

I love this piece of work. It's really lovely. I was just wondering what type of paint you use, if any?
