Do you think I could get a job only being able to speak English? Panu Karjalainen replies: "Sure. Don’t know about the job, though. I’d say it’s marginally possible, but not likely."
| 26 Oct 2009 | Anon. | Loading...Hmmmmmm...well that’s no good... Panu Karjalainen replies: "Ah, no, I was wrong! There are opportunities, a quick Google search turned up a million something results. Some of them looked pretty scary. Do you like to pick strawberries? A potential summer job there." | |
| 27 Oct 2009 | Anon. | Loading...I like to eat strawberries? I have a feeling with that job I might get in trouble for eating them more than picking them haha. Btw, my writing update is: lately I’ve been rhyming a lot, writing poems of nonsense and such. I’ve got this crazy idea in my head that I’d like to try my hand at being a musician. Have you picked detective or fantasy yet? Panu Karjalainen replies: "Really? Hurray! You mean a songwriting musician, right? You need, oh, I don’t know, a place where you meet up with fellow musicians so you can show/play your songs to them. How does one compose a song, anyhow? This is unfamiliar terrain to me.
Not yet. The writing group meets today, I’ll ask ’em. And maybe other NaNo people on Saturday, there’s a NaNo kick-off party at the uni."
| 27 Oct 2009 | Anon. | Loading...Oh oh! And what did the scary jobs look like? Maybe I could do them? Panu Karjalainen replies: "I don’t know, I didn’t look. The results were already pretty scary, I didn’t want to delve any further than that. But yes, I think you could do them. Some of them, at least." | |
| 27 Oct 2009 | Anon. | Loading...I’m not entirely sure yet. Still figuring that out myself. You’ll have to let me know the results. Panu Karjalainen replies: "Well, do tell me if you succeed.
Oh, they thought the detective novel was worth pursuing. I’m having lingering doubts about it, though. Can I really do it? I’ve never written one. It doesn’t feel entirely comfortable. But then I suppose if I fail, I fail, that’s all."
| 28 Oct 2009 | Anon. | Loading...Tonight I actually have a reason for staying up late, I’ve been working late and after work have to get my homework done for class, which is tomorrow turned into today. If something ever comes if this crazy dream, you will for sure know. I have faith that you can and will write a really amazing detective novel! And if not, oh well at least you tried. I think you can do it tho. Panu Karjalainen replies: "Drink lots of tea, and remember to eat well. Hopefully you can catch up on sleep tomorrow or on the weekend, yes?
Thank you for your stalwart belief. It will be in Finnish, by the by."

| 2 Nov 2009 | Anon. | Loading...Good luck! (With what? you ask. Why, it’s November!) Panu Karjalainen replies: "Thank you, love! The novel doth progress, though I sure as hell don’t know what’s going on in it..." | |
| 3 Nov 2009 | Anon. | Loading...Haha. Hopefully it will tell you sooner or later. Let me tell you how not fun it is to have no heat when it’s below 0c outside. Pretty cold!!! Panu Karjalainen replies: "Ay, I too hope so. It’s already severely slipping toward fantasy, I can only conjecture what the end product will look like.
Whee, cold! Isn’t that just delicious? Wrap yourself up in several layers of clothing and have lots of hot tea, and when you can’t take it any more, go out and have a brisk walk! I love cold, I do."
| 4 Nov 2009 | Anon. | Loading...Heat is back on. Less frozen now. Going out of town till Sun. Panu Karjalainen replies: "Have fun!" | |
