| 20 Apr 2001 | William Curtis Russell | Loading...Nice work. I don't like the guy on the right, his hair is... off. But, other than that, your shading is wonderful, and they appear as guys that I personally wouldn't want to meet, but I know a few folks who'd like to say hi.Thanks Russell. I like your comment. I take preliminary drawings from other people and then render them in my style. The guy on the right is anime-inspired and I copied his hairdo almost directly. I look forward to more comments =) | |
| 26 Apr 2001 | Liss | Loading...did u by chance copy Allen Schezars hair, for the guy on the rightm it looks like it, the other two look great but the guy on the right, the hair just defies gravity and it doesn't look quite rightYes, the hair is incongruous with rest of the work's style. It is anime-inspired, from the character's original creator. Thank you for the comment =) | |
| 29 Apr 2001 | Rachel Hill | Loading...I like much... long hair is so seksay. The shading's done well of course as is the detail itself.. though I think the comment up a bit is right..something is missing. Maybe a shadowed background? *shruggles and peers at it* I can't say anything O.O I don't do backgrounds. | |

| 20 May 2001 | Tricia Mihal | Loading...The proportion on each of these is amazingly perfect. Except the man on the right, but others have commented and so I won't. I do think it's an interesting study, and it's always good to try something different.
The man at the very top is handsome! His eyes show atbreastude and the facial expression is inspired.
I'm not sure I like the man on the bottom left, though. Artistically, his portrait is a bit smaller than the others and also darker- that is why it stands out. Shading around his shirt and eyes is nicely done.
| 7 Aug 2002 | Dexter Lira | Loading...Well, I took your advice and looked up your art on this site, old friend. Please make your updates. I too, am anxious to see more of your work.
By the by, Karl's gaming group was made up of players with diverse literary and artistic leanings. As referee, Karl was big enough to let a bit of each of us leak into his game world and his art. Any feeling of visual dissonance elicited by the man on the lower right of this drawing is not in any way Karl's fault. It rightly should be laid at my door. I played that character and passed Karl the anime-inspired sketch.
