| 1 May 2004 | Caitlin May Waggoner | Loading...By the way, did you know that Lewis and Tolkein were best friends? "The Screwtape Letters" is dedicated to Tolkein. Yes, I did know that. The Screwtape Letters is one of my favourite books. | |

| 9 Jul 2004 | Jamie A. Hughes | Loading...I also wanted to extend a warm, although late, welcome to the woods. It's nice to have you here. Also, good work explaining the faith to Gammelfar. Folks just don't understand that God made this whole great big world and that while He may be disapointed in our failings, He still loved us enough to send His only Son down to save us all. That amazes me to this day. I can never get over the greatness of God's love. I think people reject Christianity because it tells them that there is, in fact, a right and a wrong. The Bible lays out how we should and should not act or think, and people (because of that dastardly agent "Free Will") have a hard time dealing with that concept. I just wish I could show someone who doesn't believe just how wonderful it is to know God is with you in all things! That's what I try to do everyday, but it gets harder as we become more coarsened and cynical. Still, we must keep on trying! Again, thank you for posting your testament here for all to see. God sees your good works, no matter how small they may seem to you. Remember, you must tell me when you post again, I'm hooked on your tales!! K. Anne Snell replies: "Thank you so much for your thoughts, Jamie! I'll admit I thought I'd be a lone voice when I joined Elfwood, and it's more than encouraging to know there are others who share my beliefs. I'll be sure to keep you updated!" | |
| 8 Sep 2004 | Jamie A. Hughes | Loading...Darling, darling....it has been too long! Summer is nuts because everyone is out of town, and the fall is nuts because everyone has a schedule to keep. I hadn't noticed until today that you're slated to be a part of Project #7! How's it going? I just finished the first draft of mine last night. Jim likes them short, so I stopped at eight pages. The seed story was difficult to work with, but I think I came out with something passing. Please let me know if you're posting because I would love to edit with you before that. I'm so excited that you are a part of our group! K. Anne Snell replies: "Hi Jamie! Yes, it has been a while...yet somehow I've managed to find time to read more of Fire & Wind (which I love, btw) and do some planning for future writing projects. Project 7 has been going pretty well, after scrapping my first idea. My 2nd attempts are always so much better than my first. I'm about halfway done. I plan on posting it eventually (I desperately need something fresh here). I LOVE editing (it's an unhealthy addiction), and would be glad to edit with you anytime! Just drop me an e-mail. *muah* /K." | |
| 12 Dec 2004 | Deborah Cullins Smith | Loading...Hi! This is my first visit to your corner of the Woods, and I am dying to move on to the "Library"! Jim Bowers sent me the links to "Backyard Salvation", and I loved it. The feeling, the depth, the beauty of that one page captivated me completely. I, too, am a Christian -- (although a MUCH older one!)-- and I truly love the way you express your faith. You touch my heart with your writing; I can't wait to read the rest of your work! God Bless! K. Anne Snell replies: "Thank you, Deborah! I'm touched that you were touched. I actually have a much more expanded version of 'Backyard Salvation' written for an English class. I really need to go updtate that site...Thank's for stopping by; it's a pleasure to meet you, and I'm sure we'll be corresponding more in the future (isn't Jim great?). Blessings -- K." | |
| 10 Sep 2005 | Keith D. Brooks Jr. | Loading...Hi. Just browsing and saw your site. Your bio caught my attention. I have been a Christian since 1976. Sometimes it's hard to hold onto your faith in the genre of fantasy, and I am glad to see you not compromising your ideals. Anyway just thought I would share ... off to read your work! | |
| 16 Oct 2006 | Patricia M. DŽAngelo | Loading...Just stopped by to let you know, I have your name for the Herscher project 20. I've been in the mood to do a bit of art work again, and I was wondering if you would like me to do a portrait of one of your story characters. If you would, let me know.
