twinness!! I like the pic! How did you learn so much about elves and stuff? It's cool. Ok now I don't want to leave any negative comments because you're so much better at drawing than I am. But I shink her shoulders may be a bit wide! If I'm delusional, ignore the comment. 2 u rock

The details are great! You've done a great job on all those scales...cool look bringing them up her upper body to cover her breasts. Webbing her fingers adds even more aquatacism to her upper body.

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "Thanks for commenting! It wasnt really an original idea to put the scales up so high. She's acctually supposed to be nekkid, but I can't draw brests. But I saw alot of other artist cover them up with scales. 2"

Hey Cynthia,
I too am an artist that teachers thier self how to draw. I've been drawing for a little while and so far it's pretty good. But now where near as good as yours. I don't think you need to colour any of you pictures because it's to your perspective. Any one can be an artist and draw something from their point of view. I know tons of artist who draw things and colour them in with the opposite colour that it was. But enough of my small talk. Nice job on your pictures they are so good.

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "Thanks for the compliment 2. I like my pictures in black and white two, but thats only because I'm not a good colourer. 12 I really like colour though... usually bright clashy colours..."

2 pointers on constructive criticism and then I will praise you ^_^ *I do agree with the above comments*

1. The fact that you can see how you started the picture but it didn't erase fully detracts from the picture. When my art has things like this I use Photoshop Elements 2.0 to erase them and any smudges I don't like. If Elements is too expensive to buy, use paint or erase any marks the best you can before scanning or taking a picture...

2. This is just a very general thing that would look interesting so if you want to give it a try go on ahead. In her tail at the very end, I would suppose that would be practically see-through so to add on to that you could draw faint lines to show veins that would be in the tail.

Overall, I give this picture 2 thumbs up *if I had more thumbs I would gladly give more* Keep up the wonderful work and keep teaching yourself how to draw! *I happen to teach myself too*

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "Its hard to do transparency with no background 8 but im better at it! in some of my new pictures that will be put on soon"

constructive criticism! here goes....

1)her shoulders are a bit square. Look at some anatomy of shoulders/neck and realize that the neck actually tapers into the shoulder by way of angled parts of muscle. I don't think that are too wide, they just are too square and it makes it *appear* too wide.

2)her lower body (admittedly shes a fish so you can skew it however you want) seems a bit odd. She juts out in front which could be knees, but then the "thigh" part needs to be foreshortened more clearly. She could also use a butt, giving her that would allow for us to landmark more clearly her shape and she'd look more "real" I think

3) nice pose 2whats she on? background/setting time!!

4) nice tail, would be nicer if it had some more detail like her fins and skin.

5) colour....blah blah blah......

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "Thanks for the con crit lol your very friendly and positive about it ^_^"
