This is a picture of Mystica, and her 3 evil buddies, I forget their names. Mystica is a blood elf, and she is SUPPOSED to have blood run skin but I ran out of red marker *tear* A blood elf is my own 'invension' They are a cross between demons and drow.

I like the guys in the back. I think they are cute. But on a personal note stay away from markers, they are evil. Trust me i know. I have ruined many a good pic because of them. Try color pencils instead, you have more creative control than w/ markers. Also i think you mean "invention".

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "Markers were just an experimnet heh, i like pencil crayons better... the are evil arnt they."

Better still use Charcoal, blood look very effective as a sudden very dark area on a light area, the message that it shouldn’t be there is highlighted much stronger (remember to keep it smoothe and flowing), by the way, the lips have a great shape to them, when I first started faces many many eons ago, I would attempt lips and then end up drawing a dark scarf around the face when I got it wrong, most of my portraits end up as cowboys and girls *giggle* you are a natural.

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "Her whole skin is supposed to be the colour of blood. 2 BTW thanks! Your the first person to say I'm a natural.. I think 12"

Actually blood elves were created by Wizards of the Coast for use in their Dungeons and Dragons games...

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "Well see ive never heard of that so therefor they are my own creation ^_^"

She's pretty. I like the evil look she's giving us viewers.

The hand on the side comes a little bit out of no-where though, it seems.

The quality is a little choppy too. I know, it's because of the marker. It is hard to color with marker, I know. That is why I use prismacolors. (but they're so EXPENSIVE!!)
But I think in the picture editor you have, such as Microsoft Photo Editor (a very low tech picture editor), I think you should even out the tones by using the smudge brush.

It would also look a bit better (in my opinion) if you added a fading boarder around the picture, to also cover up the paper tearing at the top.

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "I dont have a picture editor really, only paint lol and ummm the hand is supposed to be comming out of no where lol"

i think the face is a little off but ur better than me so i cant complane. i like how u blend the colors together. it looks really nice. ~ Me ~

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "Thanks ^_^ i was doing it with really cheap markers so its was kinda hard to do"

Hmmmm... Very interesting... I like the idea, but as for the anatomy of her face there is just one teeny problem that I can see... When drawing a face it can be fairly hard to get everything in the right spot with the right spacing. If you take a look of the placement of her lips and then look in the mirror, there is a space between the bottom of the lips and the chin. Yep, that's all I see! Great picture! Keep up the work!

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "I was trying to get her face to look angled down, it didnt work too good huh lol"

Not too bad, do something about the background, i dont think you should use markers, you dont seem to be comfortable using them

:-) Cynthia Louise Brittain replies: "The only way to get comfortable is to practice"
