Realm of the skydragons, who spend almost their entire lives on the wing. As a result, their hind legs evolved into a second pair of wings and as a weight-saving measure ther spines became soft and feather-like. Like all creatures of the air, only they know and enjoy the sensation of having complete freedom, as they glide in the near infinite sky.

created with corel paintshop pro xi, oil brush and airbrush tools, and wacom tablet. 20+ hours.   To make the most of it, please view at full size.

I have a couple a’ questions, what do they eat and how do they catch it?

Sorry, my intellectual side made me ask those question. *blush* I actually like this picture all questions aside

:-) Kimberly A Taylor replies: "thanks! good question. i was kind of inspired by swifts-birds which themselves spend almost all their lives flying-so i guess other flying creatures. "

Greetings and Salutations, fellow Dragon enthusiast and Fellow Taylor. Nice work, and great concept. If bi-planes get better lift from their wings, why not Dragons? Never saw a double winged dragon before, must indeed be very aerodynamic.

:-) Kimberly A Taylor replies: "thank you. Mmmm, that’s an interesting point about bi planes, i hadn’t actually considered that. "

Wow that is really awsome. I just love the detail on that sky dragon its like its gliding really well and gracefully. and those detail on those clouds must have tooken a long time. and that time was well worth it indeed.

:-) Kimberly A Taylor replies: "thanks, yeah i think i wore a hole in my wacom tablet for this"
11 Sep 2009:-) Katalin Half Blood Princess Szabolcsi
