Phillips replies: "Why thankyou. I actually drew this picture with markers for fun last year. I scanned it into the computer and colored over with photoshop. "

Your art is SO much better... thanks for the comment. By the way, do you have any sugestions or improvement ideas for me? Please? "
| 16 Apr 2004 | Cj WyldCherry Small Village | Loading...Hmm, suggestions? I don't know. Hehe. Umm...maybe add a gradient to the sky background. Perhaps use a darker shade of blue. Also mess around when selecting the angle for the gradient. Like lighter towards the moon and darker coming away from it. It sort of gives a nice effect. Oh yea, make sure you do this on a different layer, just in case you want to alter it later. That's why I love photoshop, layers are the best thing since sliced bread. Oh yea, another thing, when doing gradients, it's hard to save it under jpeg because it will look all choppy when you view it on the web. I add in a very light dithered pattern (in another layer) to the background to diffuse it. It seems to work. tee hee! Other than that, I still think the picy is quite lovely!! Katlyn M. Phillips replies: "Hmm. I might just go play around with that when I get home. Thanks for the help." | |
| 8 Jun 2004 | Glo 'the Bug' Bowden | Loading...Very peaceful and serene. Not as much shading as i'm used to seeing from you, but the picture still looks great. My only suggestion goes with the one above - a gradient could add a nice effect. Then again, I think all you should really do is add some more glow from the moon and the fairies. Anyway, this picture truly is gorgeous. Such a cool idea! Katlyn M. Phillips replies: "This was my first photoshop job, thus explains the lack of shading. I was using effects more than actual color changes. I like how the moon came out though. Maybe I'll remake this one someday. " | |
