"Relaxing in the Storm" by Katlyn M. Phillips

Oh, my goodness, she's lovely! The colors are simply exquisite. I like the way you've designed her body - it looks very real and natural. Her expression is perfect - she has the most adorable little face.

Holy wowsas! That's incredible. I don't think you need many pointers with photoshop, you look like you've already got it down, hon. Her skin looks almost 3D at points. And that water - how in blazes did you make that water look so cool? I've been using photoshop for years, and already you're like a million times better than me. Wonderful work. Stunning, smashing, STUPENDOUS! (I'm likin' my adjectives today).

Katlyn M. Phillips replies: "Hahaha! Thank you so much! Really though, I do need some help; not on the skin, but the rocks... the background. Oh, and I cheated a little on the water. I took a photo off the net and made one copy behind the fin and a transparent copy in front. I guess that would be considered photomanipulation. Anyway, I'm taking CG for my senior year; I can only improve, right?"

This is beautiful -it looked great as a thumbnail, but looks even more striking full sized. I especially love the way you've done her hair. And the water effect you've used around her tail looks terrific.

I use photoshop myself *hence the name, although there's seriously so much I don't know about how to use the program*, but I don't know any hints I could give you. You seem to have made a stunningly beautiful picture with the knowledge you've got!

I think that at the _least_ this would be close to deserving a Mod's choice. But I think you'd probably need to change the sky's look and the rocks a little, since I don't think the people who choose Mod's choice like really filtered backgrounds. But I think that the sky looks great, and that you've made a wonderful image. Well done!

Love it, love it, love it!!! Wow, your good at coloring, both in Photoshop and with colored pencils! Her hair is so cool! I think this is your best pic! Still I think the „fish-part“ of 'Relaxing in the Scene' is better than this one =Þ Keep it up!
