	Based on a story told to me by my mother, told to her by her mom, and at least one previous generation, that Indian spirits would come out in the rain and dance. The harder the rain the bigger the spirits would get, and the faster they would dance. It's a story my sisters and I now tell our children, so it's a legend that is going into its fifth generation now. Colored pencil on dark blue paper.

26 Sep 2004	Janet	Loading... This is so gorgeous. Good choice with the colors - the blue juxtaposed with the green creates the exactly perfect atmosphere - though I bet at the time you were drawing this, it was scary to put such a dark color on dark paper, lol.
10 Jul 2009	Jeanette M Thomas	Loading... I can see that. When I went to school, I used to watch the rain hit the pavement outside - it sort of bounced up again in a "v" when it hit hard. Sometimes it seemed several inches high. I used to call it "Rice Rain" and pictured it growing.
