SciFi and Fantasy Art Rook of the Dogwood by Kathleen Hardy

I thought it would be pretty to have a rook in a pink dogwood tree in full bloom. I was surrounded by rooks this spring, and I love the jet black body with the iridescent teal head and yellow eyes. I didn't intend for her to have such a mischevious look, but I suppose it's fitting. This was also a second attempt at Celtic knotwork. It is extremely hard for me, (I'm impressed by those who seem to do it effortlessly) but it's getting easier. Color pencil on sky blue paper.
