Anna Katheryn Smith

SciFi & Fantasy Artwork by Anna Katheryn Smith

Anna is a minotaur fanatic. She works mainly with pencil sketches, has taken to inking them for better scan quality, and is known to dabble in colored ones now and again. She is character oriented, (Read: Too lazy to try backgrounds) and draws mainly minotaurs, anthros, and fantasy creatures.

Heh heh.... Remember me, Anna? Yes, I still check this alcove in the woods..... I hope to see updates soon! I absolutely ADORE your work, both writing and art!

:-) Anna Katheryn Smith replies: "Heh, 'course I remember you. I'm glad you like my work, but unfortunately, there're no updates coming very soon. Lack of my own computer being set up, and not even a basic editing program on the one I have access to, all mean I can't even resize the pics properly were I to get them scanned. So, this and my other galleries are going to take an enforced rest, unfortunately. I'll let you know when I'm back in the updating business, though."

Well, Anna, I have officially read every work in your library about five times each (only twice for Rarest, though), and seen all of your gallery more times than can be counted. If you need some help finding basic editing software, I can direct you at some freeware applications that I've used for a bit of mine, one of which that I will name off the top of my head. Try doing a search for Serif Photoplus 6.0, an older, knock-off version of Photoshop, or if that isn't your cup of tea, you could always try the GIMP.

1 Anna Katheryn Smith replies: "Guess I should get off my arse and put in some new material, for you at least. Five times! Whoof. As for the editing program, I thank you for the recommendations, but before I can even think about that, I first need to get a new comp, (or rather, a place to set up my new comp) and a scanner."

*grins* What can I say? When I like something, I like it... and it gets frequently read (and recommended to everyone I know...). I look forward to seeing your new material, Anna! You've got at least one fan in the woods.

Now... to get motivated on my own story. I can't even imagine how hard it was to stay enthused when writing Rarest of the Wild (actually, I'm getting some small idea, as this piece is no short story anymore! *laughs*)!

Hope to see some more work soon, Anna!

:-) Anna Katheryn Smith replies: "*laughs* Yes, longer works can be a bear, especially at about halfway through. The writing projects have stalled currently, but there should be an update of images for you as soon as the ticket goes through, at least. 12 Thanks for sticking with me."

Wonderful update, Anna! This is the first comment bomb I've had the time to drop in a while, so be afraid (or honored, whichever comes first). I hope to see more out of you soon!

I wanted to be sure to stop by and tell you how I love your style. I stumbled upon your sites a few years ago and couldn't help but copy your story to read, offline... Rarest of the Wild... and I love how your universe for your characters is so unique. It is great to see someone like you out there making good use of a talent like yours, and I hope it progresses further! Can't wait to see more!!!

1 Anna Katheryn Smith replies: "Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoy my writing, even enough to keep checking on me. The ticket system here tends to frustrate me though, so you can find my more recent stuff on my FA or DA sites. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kaz/ and http://kazanthi.deviantart.com/ respectively. I'm also in the process of setting up an account on AnthroArchives.org for just my writing. Mostly old stuff is there now, but hopefully soon some newer things will be coming down the pike. I am a woefully slow writer, unfortunately. 2"
