I just upgraded from photoshop 5.5 to 7, and this is my first piece. I should have done this years ago, I'm really having fun with the new tools. The only textures used were made myself, although I totally cheezed the background, I put a huge amount of effort into the detail level of the foreground. Done with all kinds of layer transparancy, and trying to brush up on anatomy without use of a reference photo. This was just plain fun, and a small homage to the most typed phrase in the game.

Looks at above comments *I don't think I'll ever understand fangirls* ...Anyway, I don't know how many times I've seen the infamous words "*Insert Random Name Here* scowls at you" and this is a pretty dang good rendition of the look I'm sure they were supposed to be giving me. Excellent job on the detail, and if it makes you feel any better that background is better than most of my backgrounds. I have one problem with this picture though, you should have made the ear/wing-rings look more 3D, they look kinda flat. You know what I mean? I'd explain what I'm trying to say more but I can't figure out how to say it. I really hope that was helpful, great job, good luck and God bless.

I simply love his expression! It's the same look of doom I get in the morning when someone else has taken all the orange juice ^-^
He's just so... *sighs* I really like him 2
His hair and his shirt are just wicked cool! And the wings! Cute little disgruntled-demon-punk-boy.
He's great!
*hugs Katherine*

what did I do? anyway, I love your character. what exactly is he? I love his hair. I'm a dude, and I love his hair. I cringe when I say that, but I do. I love the coloring, an the shading, everything. you got talent. it kinda reminds me of Jhonen Vasquez' work, a little.

I really really kind of just want to grab him behind the ears and pull him in for a kiss. He has this smoldering sex appeal i haven't really seen you put in his face before.
Adore the hair, but especially the carefully crafted facial expression.
Does his hair colour just change with whim?
