Just wondering, where do you draw your inspiration from? Books? Music? TV?

:-) Kat Powell replies: "Well...music with either no lyrics or cryptic lyrics help, medical books/illustrations, medical oddities, other artwork......also cartoons/shows from my childhood help me to be more daring and bizarre with imagery.

The greatest source, however, is being in silence with no outside stimulus of any kind. Many ideas bubble up to the surface at night in bed."

Your art is awesome! How long have you been drawing for? And what’s your favorite medium?

:-) Kat Powell replies: "Thank you! I’ve been drawing for roughly 9 years now and i would have to say pencil work is my favorite medium.

The fine detail and subtlety you can get is unlike any other medium that i’ve worked with. Plus it’s fast and can work with other mediums."
