I realized my other ring was too perfect, with no scratches or bumps of any kind. Actually the movie made that mistake too - their ring looks brand new, not 2000 years old. So I added some decals to adjust the reflectivity and make it a little bumpy, and the result is a ring far more appropriate for such a well-handled object. I also gave up on the fire background and put it on a wood floor I made for a still life. Rendered in Animation Master.

i think the lord of the rings trilogy is fantastic i have never seen a movie so good. I just wanted to tell everyone not to miss the return of the king cause its the best movie of all three>

Its suppose to look perfect,it says in the books that there wasnt a scratch on it etc. So your other ring was actually more "realistic"..But besides from that, good work ^_^

Have you considered adding the lettering now?

I Agree with the fact that the Ring should be perfect, because it’s magic; but this is so much more logical. I Love the picture all the same, Great job.

How could the One Ring be scratched? What could possibly scratch it?
It’s a very good picture though.
