Did you use a photoediting program to generate the shading effect on the background? This is a very well-concieved vision of Batgirl, and I definately appreciate the un-cartoony nature of your portrait. Nice work! Kelly M Bennett replies: "the back ground was all hand drawn, it was a charcoal technique...you lay down an even layer of charcoal across the background ( in this case i used an HB mechanical pencil and blend stump) then you use a kneaded rubber eraser to remove the highlights from the form you are creating kinda like drawing in reverse... its actually really easy, and it works to create the effect of glass water and fog" | |
