A dinosaur-ish eye peeking out of its lush jungle home. Not hunting, just interested and curious. Done with Sharpie markers on a plastic plate.

This is definitely the coolest thing I've seen you do. I particularly like the way the base colors bleed off of the sides of the plate. If I could get markers to cooperate with me like that *sigh*

Yay! First comment! I really really really really really like this picture! You did an incredible job on the highlighting of the scales, the eye, and everything. The plants don't have nearly as much detail, but they don't need to, since the focus is on the dinosaur creature. I'm very impressed. Wonderful work.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Yay! *happy* I'm glad someone finally left something on this one ;P "

I think I remember you working in this in Valhalla. Your mastery of markers is incredible. I wouldn't have the patience. The highlights in the larger scales look too big for the scale to me, but I could be wrong.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Thanks. ^..^ Maybe if I can find the right colors again, I can fix the highlight problem. "

The detail on teh colored part of the eye is most excellent. And i agree that maybe the top scales are a bit too white. This is a very dramatic piece.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "*nod* Thanks. As soon as I get some colored Sharpies, I'll fix it ^..^"

Using the plate was a really creative way to make it look like a window. I didn't even notice it until i read the description. Nice idea.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Thank you, and thanks for reading the description. Lots of people don't. I was working at my college's fast food place, and had a pile of plastic plates, an assortment of sharpie markers, and nothing else to do.... So this came out. LOL "

I wish someone would make this 3D. You know like a sculpure. With a giant marble in the middle as the eye. Because even though you make it shiny and stuff, colored pencils just don't do you justice. It's very beautiful.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Well, this one was done with sharpie markers, but I understand what you mean. If I could sculpt well, I might've tried it. ^..^"

Oh wow, that is gorgeous! I love drawing and looking at eyes, and something that looks as real as this gets me excited! Yay! The specks of different colors gives the whole thing life. Wonderful, excellent, and generaly spiffiotastic!

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Thank you! I do the same. ^..^ "
