I was rather miffed that the 3rd ed. Monster Manual for D&D didn't have a picture of this delightful creature, and the 3.5 MM pic looked terrible. Because of this, I've drawn one to suit what I think they look like. They're about 3 feet long; 2 feet of this is taken up by the tail, which has a stinger capable of delivering a sleep-inducing venom. Prismas with digital background.

What? No comments, yet?! *Does the first comment dance* Very, *very* nice, Kerry. This little(!) gem looks *much* better than what I've seen in the D&D manuals!

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Thanks! The 'official' pictures always had them looking bad-tempered and ugly... And anytime the descriptions say something has a sting, the artists automatically assume a scorpion-like one. I borrowed this design from a stingray, and I think it looks better, personally. ^..^"

That blue is just lovely. I also really like the way you've drawn that weight-bearing front leg, it looks great.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "^..^ The leg you speak of was the hardest to draw. It took me a few tries to get it right, and even then it looked weird until I colored it. "

"Lookie, lookie, lookie! Here comes, Pookie! Pookie Pseudodragon!" (just sing to the theme for "Cook's Pest Control") Anywho, that came from no where. Nice image. You did a very good job on the coloring. I too really like that blue (not that I'm partial to blue in any way). It is a very cute critter. I wish you had chosen a different color for the background. Straight gray dulls the image in my opinion. If you had some texture to the background you can still use gray and not detract from the image any. That is a personal opinion though. Great job.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Glaring white didn't do anything for him, so I played around with some light colors to contrast him. This color was the best one I tried, though I'll see about texturizing it to bring him out more. If I can tinker with it enough for me to like it, I'll post an update. ^..^"

Dragon?!?! In the faunlands??? When does that happen!!!... Sorry, but i couldnt help but be reminded of my own picture. The red dragon used to have blue wings. I cant wait till you update. Ive heard a little from you about your mermaid (hows that going?) and you talked about using bird refferences for dragons. That sounded cool. Call me when you update next.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Hehehehe...The mermaid's going well; I've got her linework done, so I just need to figure out the color scheme and whether I want to ink the lines or not. And I have a very birdy dragon (at least in the body; the wings are way different) in the works as well. ^..^ "

He's nice 2 I like the shading, especially the wings, they almost seem to glow.

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Thanks. ^..^ I wanted them to contrast with the red-brown body, so I figured what better color than white-ish blue? "

That's a relief! I had barricaded myself in my house, and armed my sister with a shotgun. Hehehe, just kidding!

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "LOL"

Such wonderful shading! I love the blue wings, they almost glow. He, um, looks like he wants to eat me, I, uh need to...er...go now. Toodles! *rushes off, looking over her shoulder* Nice dragon!

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "*laughs* He's not hungry... he wants to play! And he's very small, and so can't eat you. -..^ "

:-) Kerry S. Boyd replies: "*laughs* He's little (only about 3 ft long), but he's a really good flyer. And yes, he definitely wants to play; he loves fun and games. Thank you. ^..^"
