| 20 Dec 2003 | Cynthia Lane Armstrong | Loading...The anatomy looks a bit blocky - the limbs need more curves to show the musculature, as it is, she looked more like she's been carved of wood. It's not the easiest pose, so kudos for that. Nice lighting and use of color. | |
| 21 Dec 2003 | Meg Henderson aka 'Naeva' | Loading...Just a thought... I just remembered that lemurs "sun worship" much like this lady. Something to do with parasites in the fur, I think... but they will squat in the middle of roads with their hands outstretched over their knees and their heads thrown back... and just...sit. And sit. And sit... The lemurs on the animal program I was watching were Ringtails, specifically. I'm not sure if others do it. Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Wow. That's impressive. Animals are weird -..^" | |

I like the dark pink in the fur, it's an excellent touch. I'm afraid I'm having a bit of trouble here, is she a rabbit, a fox, or nothing in particular, or lots of things? ^_^; Deciding that will probably help with your anatomy decisions, too, if you haven't already. Kerry S. Boyd replies: "She isn't really anything in particular... I drew her about 4-5 years ago, so even if I knew then, I don't now. ^..^;;" | |
| 29 Dec 2003 | C. Thompson | Loading...This work does not have the same amount of detail as some of your newer works, as far as musculature goes. I think Cynthia hit on it exactly, the pose is a hard one to draw, making it hard to define the musculature, making the anatomy appear off. That said, I also agree with Cynthia about the lighting and color. I like bright colors, and the warm tones that you used in this work gives it a very happy feel. Overall, I like this piece. Good job. Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Thanks... maybe I'll redo this one again when I've mastered Prismas and anatomy better. ^..^" | |
| 27 Jan 2005 | Katy | Loading...I don't know if the head matches the body though. For some reason i think that it doesn't. Idon't know. Great job on the hands and feet though, i have difficulty with those. Kerry S. Boyd replies: "Yeah, the perspective isn't quite right... her head should be turned more toward the viewer than it is. But thank you. ^..^" | |
