This only shows from the neck up, I plan to add more later on. This is my character Thalion's father as a young adventurer. I cant remember his name at the moment.. Done with colored pencils on colored paper..

Thanks so much for the Moderator's Choice on this one!  I was very startled to see that it had gotten one, as I feel that this is not one of my better works.

NOTICE:   PLEASE do not leave comments about why this shouldnt have gotten a mod's choice, just get PAST that and leave a positive comment.  I am utterly SICK of people coming and commenting on this picture just to tell me it didnt deserve the mod's choice it got.  Its rude to go into someone's gallery and flame them, so please, STOP.

And thank you to those who left positive commentary.  YOu have proven that there are still nice people out there in the world.

Comments flaming this artwork will, from now on, be deleted. Thank you.

I can see why it got a mods choice. It's very well done. Simple, yet it portrays the figure amazingly. The tinted paper is a nice touch

The hair looks good as well as the highlights. However I must admit that I don't understand the Mod's Choice. Sorry.

Oh by the way, let people have their opinion. Not everyone is going to have a supportive opinion. If it's crude or the such I can understand you deleting it.

:-) Kristen R Bradley replies: "What I dont understand is the high amount of "U suck" comments I have gotten on this picture. I fully agree that people are allowed to have an opinion, and you will notice Ive not deleted a few of the harsh ones. However, I still am of the opinion that it is highly rude to come into someone's gallery and tell them that they suck and they didnt deserve the mod's choice. I appreciate your opinion, though. And I do understand that not all comments have to be happy ones. ^^ Im just tired of the drama this work has caused.Thank you for commenting. *hugs*"

You did this with coloured pencil? It looks like pastels! Very soft colouring...It's nice! The only tip i'd have, is that the lower lip juts out a bit too far. Usually, if you draw a diagonal line from the top lip bakcwards to the chin, you'll see that the lower lip is usually more inwards than the top one. If that makes any sense! Congrats on the mod's choice!

I L O V E I T !!!!!! 1. its frell off hard to draw well and get your bearings on mid tone. but YOU did it! 2. it looks like he's on sum mountain top somewhere looking out on the world resolved that he would learn it perfectly but scared and nervous at the same time. 3. its as though he had just sighed and was about to get stuck in with it.

and finally i think it does deserve the mods!!! CONGRATS!!!

I like this picture too, and to the people flaming it: what is Kristen supposed to do with your critics? She didn’t make this a mods; strangely enough the mods did! Complain to them, or became one yourself (which for some reason, I hope you won’t)
