SciFi and Fantasy Art Execution by John D P Keane

For an article about the death of a professional role-playing magazine (Visions) and likewise demise of several other similar magazines over the years, I continued a theme I used in an earlier article about yet another magazine’s demise. The character shown below is based on Games Workshop’s “White Dwarf” icon from their magazine of the same name. Those of you familiar with WD might not recognise the icon, but I can assure you that he did look like this some years ago (in one of his previous incarnations). Why did I use this character? Well, where other magazines tried and failed, White Dwarf survived and prospered. 0.5mm mech pencil, of course! (Warpstone Issue 12)

I really enjoy the humour of this drawing (well at least I think I can find a bit of sarccastic dark humour in it) But what did GW say about the executioner dwarf? [I haven't heard anything from them...maybe they didn't notice!!! JK]
