SciFi and Fantasy Art Unwelcome Guest by John D P Keane

The picture depicts a Templar of Manann (God of the Sea) in combat with a Fimir. The Fimir are creatures of mist and darkness, who shun bright light. When they travel in daylight they are accompanied by these strange mists that they use to protect and hide themselves. The Templar has trailed this particular Fimir through the sewer systems of Marienburg, finally to be confronted just outside the sewer outlet. (For entertainment I put a Spawn type symbol on the Fimir’s belt – Little things please little minds!) This picture was designed and used for the cover of Issue 9, hence the vast expanse of mist in the bottom right of the picture and the spacious sky area (i.e. used for text). 0.5mm mech pencil. (Warpstone Issue 9)

This is a very good Warhammer drawing. I love everything about it, especially the Fimir, and the breathtaking cityscape in the background. Keep up the good work, John.
