There are so many versions of this story. I picture Rapunzel as a bookworm. They say that she spent all her time combing her long hair, but that seems kind of booring to me, and how could she get to they very ends without getting her hair all tangeld again? I bet she just kept it in a braid and read her books.

Such an amazing amount of detail .... and so very well done !!! How long did this take ?

:-) Christy Miller replies: "all of the detailed pencil drawings took me about 8 hours to do. "

Can I please please use this on my fairytale tour? *puppy dog eyes* I know this is kinda weird, and I love the whole picture but i think my favourite part is the bed spread.

:-) Christy Miller replies: "Sure thing!"

This is beautiful and amazing and incredible! I love it! I adore it! It makes me wonder why I can’t draw like you! (Well actually it’s because I’m only 13 but....you know)

I love this fairytale, and your version of Rapunzel looks great! All of the small details are beautiful, like the branches growing through the window, the bedding, the table and all of the scattered books. I like your nice, clean lines, they fit illustrations like this perfectly 2.

Wow! Just WOW!
A beautiful portrait of one of my favorite fairytale characters. Beautifully done. Gotta love that hair. 2

She looks bored, yet fascinated by her book. Why doesn’t she use the ivy growing in her window to climb out?

Great stuff, Christy. Congratulations on getting your book published! I’d like to get one written one day. What a great talent to be able to do this amazing art as well as writing. Gealous.

Love the Sleeping Beauty too. Great the way you’ve captured them "in a moment", rather than an all-defining poster pose. It adds weight and resonance to their plights!

the only thing I can add to this would be that technically her braid should get thinner the longer it is. But other then that I absolutely love it!
