But good criticism only boosts your self confidence, and since you've gotten plenty of that (from myself included) I just wanted to point out that if you ever care to revisit this piece, the woman's head looks a bit awkward, proportionally, when compared to the rest of her body, as well as in the angle, color, and level of detail. Keep it simple, and remember: don't always draw what you know (in this case, side profiles). Try taking a photo of yourself with your body twisted in that angle, you'll find that the head will naturally tilt away, and since the light source is in the distance, she shouldn't be looking ahead/up, but away and over to it, if that makes sense. Sorry if I sound harsh. It really is a wonderful piece. Min 'Keiiii' Kwon replies: "No, you weren't being harsh at all. You're actually the first person to realize that it's her head whose angle is off -- not the rest of her body. (Everyone else thought her torso was off, assuming the head to be correct) The head was drawn correctly in the sketch -- I had planned to draw it in the same angle as the body -- but I kind of forgot about it when I started coloring. ^^; But that's okay... I'll do better next time, hopefully. "

The colours you use always compliment each other, and your style is breathtaking, always expressing deep feeling. I just quickly want to clarify something though - the fish symbolism isn’t of christian origin, even though some claim it. It’s more the roman origin, and I’m not even sure if it’s originally from there anyway... just so you know =3 actually, a lot of modern christianity is derived from ancient mythology - a method they used to attract people to the religion in the 3-5th centuries, loosely quoted of course.
