I can easily imagine this laser tank using its laser beam to slice open another tanks hull like a hot knife through butter, but being somewhat slow at recharging the laser when it has first been fired, making it vulnerable to multiple enemies.

Its primary weapon is of course the large laser turret on top of the front hull, the secondary is the little laser turret on the front tip of the tank right next to the hatch, used as an anti infantry weapon.

Since lasers require alot of power the tank is made of two hulls, the front hull holds the turrets and crew, while the back hull is a small powerplant supplying the lasers with the energy needed to do real damage.

I made the tank in 3D max, and used Adobe photoshop for the texture, it has been a lot of fun and I'm sure I will make more of these future war machines.

Hmm... I'd be a little scared to get into this thing during combat since the hatch's location would put you in the way of the main laser! Scary. Congrats on Mod's Choice.

14 Kent Jensen replies: "Well I wouldn't be scared cause i cant get shoot by it, if i'm not already in the tank, (its not like its shooting around without a pilot), the smart thing about the location is if someone managed to get up on the tank and is trying to force open the hatch with explosives or something then he would be an easy target..."

Great job! Looks really nice. I'm a 13 year old trying to teach myself 3d modeling with a trial version of Rhino 3d, gives me some good inspiration to keep trying. I'm looking foreword to those other "future war machines."

My concern is also over the second hull - you might just as well place a small fusion reactor in one hull compared to lugging around a battery th size of the tank itself. It would seem more logical that way, but I guess it all depends on what you want to achieve. All I’m saying is is that the powerplant is actually acting as a blind-spot for the turret itself when it traverses to face the rear - it is quite possible a demolitions expert would use that as an advantage.
