This picture is about a wanderer, who went to search the endless caves under the mountain of Misery. He got lost in the labyrinth of caves. Suddenly he felt that he is not alone in the darkness...

Wow the feeling of the pic is amazing!!!
But why does the dragon look so sad???
If he'd look angry it would fit the situation better

16 Pille Heero replies: "Why the dragon looks sad??? Good question. i wanted to draw a happy dragon...Actually he is not sad, he is a bit surprized, still a bit sleepy and confused (he do not know, what he should do. To eat the wanderer ar not eat him? 2"

Wow, the way the fire picks out the ridges on the wing is just so dramatic. Great job, beautiful contrast and lovely vibrant colours.

The colour is incredibly rich, and the lighting sets the mood very nicely. I especially liked how you rendered the flame, and the reflection of it on the dragon's wing. Lovely piece!

1 Pille Heero replies: "thank you! It was quite a question, how to draw this torch-light so that it would give enough light, but look natural. I had never drawn it before...but I am quite satisfied with the result"

1 Pille Heero replies: "I have made a blue dragon. I have never drawn green ones, because I do not like the green pencils in my pencilbox. They are just not right. Purple? Why not...Maybe next is going to be purple..."

This is one of the very best in your gallery. The lighting is wonderful, and the characters are a little whimsical. It reminds me of the Harry Potter illustrations, just a little.

1 Pille Heero replies: "Thank you! This is one of my favourites as well."
